Well, my dad's iTunes really, but still.
Every time he plugs his iPod in to sync, it gives him a message saying

"Unable to connect to sync services (something like that)"

And when he tries to back up his iPod it gives him error message -20.
iTunes is also really slow on his computer.

He has an iPod Touch 2g on 4.0 with iTunes 9.2

Any ideas how to fix this?

    No.

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't touch his important files but how would I be able to check if they are read-only?
