    After Dropping My iTouch In The Toilet,
    And Quickey Rescuing It;
    My iTouch Turned All White.
    So I Stuck It In Rice After Doing My Best To Dry It Off,
    Then After Being In Rice For A While,
    It Went Back To My Wallpaper Screen,
    But I Cant Slide To Unlock Or Slide To Power.
    Is The Touch Screen Broken!?
    What Do I Do?
    Any Advice Is Encouraged
    Please And Thank-you

    You should have left it off. Something's probably fried. Tough luck bud, sorry.

    That's true, but it's not really his/her fault, it sounds more like it was on when it fell in.

    Maybe one of the ribbon cables came off? But the only way to check that is to open it.

    I have a related question...if your iPod/iPhone falls in water, and it's ON at the time (but on SLEEP), what do you do?I know that after you put it in a bag/bowl of rice, but how do you prevent the circuitry from being fried?

    Do you turn it OFF immediately, leave it on SLEEP, or what? I just want to know...just in case...

    Hmm.. well to turn it off you would have to turn it on for a few seconds.. I think it would be best to leave it in sleep mode and put it in a bowl of rice.

    What does the whole "putting ipod in rice thing do"? and you might want to try resetting it by holding the wake/sleep and home buttons, at the same time, untilit turns off... wait about a minute then turm it back on. If not you could just let it die and then charge it back up.

    That's why I always put the ipod DOWN (on the floor, or the rubbish bin, or the toilet paper holder flattop), BEFORE I turn around and flush
