i am 13 years old and have a ipod touch 2g. my idiot of a sister took it outside, left it there, and sat a sprinklet 6 ft away from it. it wont turn on, it wont sync to itunes, and apple wont take it because of "acidental misuse or damage". is there something i can do? i dont exactly earn 300 $ a year so dont say that i can buy a new one...... i can take it into a repair company though. (anywhere i can ship it to?)
    i need help!

You would still have to pay a small fortune to get it fixed (probably close to $150)

    Your an ass. Reported.

OP: Put it in dry uncooked white rice. You might be screwed as you tried turning it on already.......

Sand scratches the sh*t out of the iPod...

Also, stop trying to turn it on, makes you have less of a chance of fixing it. Put it in rice, which sucks up all the water... leave it for a week, and then try it again.

When your ipod is in that condition, you will understand how that *joke* will make you feel.

Yeah i was going to suggest wrapping it in a towel, but rice would do the same job.

Just let it dry out for a couple of days and hope for the best
