my ipod won't take screenshots

    i just got a 3rd gen ipod and it wont seem to take screen shots. it just locks my ipod, what do i need to do to get it to take screen shots. and one more problem i am encountering is when i dont have music playing and i want to pull up the music toggle by double tapping the home button, it just kicks me out of the app im in, how do i get it to pull up the toggle even when music is not playing? plesae help even though these are probably noob questions

    Actually, for the music thing, it's like that for every one.

    And for the Screenies, try pressing the home button first.

    Are you jailbroken? You can get iPodpop to fix the first problem or you can bring up music controls on the lockscreen.

    And screenshots, hold the home button, then press the lock button, then release lock button and release home button.

    i got the screen shot working, thanks! and i am not going to jailbreak my new ipod so im wondering. is there a way to get the music toggle to pop up when i am not playing music?

    No. You need to be jailbroken for that.

    Why don't you want it jailbroken? Scared? Mommy said no? iPodpop is a great jailbreak add-on, but I guess you don't want it.

    Try Resetting your settings see if that fixes it, if not try restoring your iPod.

    Hey, there's no need for that.

    Anyways, glad you got you screenshot working. But yes, asfaik, the music popup controls only show up if you're playing music, otherwise it will jump the music app wherever you are. There's a setting for 'Home' in the Preferences app, but I think that's only to change the home button setting.
