Alright, I KNOW it's not the file type, because these are MP3s, legally obtained from my own CDs.

I imported my MP3s into iTunes and they played fine, I put the songs on my iPod and they wouldn't play at all; it just skips the song and goes to another one. And on a different occasion the music app will not change songs, but does let me press the buttons, and forces me to reboot. I tried reloading the songs onto my iPod, and a few played, however the majority are still just eating my memory. I didn't buy CDs to listen to CDs. I want the music on my iPod. :/

    Halp?

Try deleting those mp3s and re-ripping them (using iTunes to be sure)

Also, is it just the songs from the CD or is it every song in your library?

Songs that I ripped from CDs, however they're are like 'selectively' chosen. Some will play on my Touch, and others won't.

What bit rate are you using? I rip mine at 192 and they all play. I've copied over 400 of my CD's that way and they all work fine.

I had this problem before. I would find a different .mp3.
