    Yeah. It's a 2cd Generation iPod.
I was on the FML app, and I was doing something at the same time and it locked. So I finished what I was doing to go back to reading some more the FML stuff, but when I pressed the home button it didn't show unlock screen. So then I pressed the lock key and that did nothing either. I held both down separately and at the same time too and nothing happened.
Then when I put my iPod into my dock hoping that would make it work, I pressed the play button on my dock just for curiosity... and it started playing the song I had last left it on but paused. The screen never turned on though.

    2G iPod touch
Same thing just happened to me right now. Hold Power + Home for 10 seconds and then hold power till the device turns on.

    Ahhh! Thank you SO much!
    It's working now!
I was freaking out over here that my iPod was broken and I just got it for Christmas and I'd be DEAD if it was broken.
    So thank you a bunch!
