Ehhhh I'm sooo passed. I have a 1G 16GB iPod Touch, and just today it like stopped working.

Unplugged, when I turn my iPod on, it shows the Apple logo and then it disappears, but nothing comes up (I'm assuming it turns off).

When plugged it, it does the same thing, but my iTunes won't recognize it. So I can't do a restore or anything to it.

    How do I fix it?

There was this one time where I got it to turn on for about 20 minutes and then it turned off again.

I think this has something to do with it, I'm not sure but I haven't used it for about 2 weeks. Like never turn it on, never charged it, is it out of battery?

It should still turn on when it's charging thought right?

    Ehhh please someone help me.

I think you're gonna have to put it into DFU mode and restore it.
To put it into DFU mode, press the power button for 3 seconds.
Then without letting go, press the Home button AND the power button for 10 seconds.
Then, let go of ONLY the power button for 30 seconds or until iTunes recognizes your iPod as in "Recovery mode". Then simply restore!

Leave it charging for a while maybe?

So I restored it, and got my stuff back on, but a new problem.

It won't charge. Well its been plugged into my computer for about an hour now, but when I look at the battery thing, it shows it empty. Like theres not even a little red or green, it's just empty.

Do I have to replace the battery?

    Sounds like a battery problem.

Take it to an Apple Store, and theyll replace it for you.
After all, its a fault on their end.

If youre jailbroken, put it in DFU Mode and Restore before taking it to the Apple Store.

Ive heard of this problem once before, and somebody fixed it by turning off the iPod and repeatedly hit the back of their iPods. I wouldnt reccomend it, but they turned it on, and it started charging.

    So......

Lol...that reminds me of how a generation or two ago they used to pound on the side of the television or radio to get it to work again or get better reception.

Well I charged if for an about an hour last night. Took it out, and now over 12 hours later, it's still on.

I haven't played music or anything, I have the Wi-Fi off, brightness on low and I it's still on. The battery is red and low, but it's not doing anything.

You know how when you have under 20% or 10% if will warn up everytime you unlock it?

Well it doesn't do that although the battery is in red and it's low.
