I was at the doctors office and I was playing an NES game on the NES emulator. They called us in so I put it into standby (I clicked the top button) with the app still on and put it in my pocket. An hour later I pull it out and I find the battery dead. I was not surprised. I tried booting it up again but it would not, and I assumed it didn't have enough juice to actually turn on. So I come home try plugging it in and everything. Still doesn't turn on.

I'm pretty sure it isn't bricked. Please give me some rational solutions.

Don't you have to give more detail for people to diagnose your problem? Things like:

    • Is it charged
    • What did you do to it
    • How long has it been like that

    Etc Etc.

Did you try plugging it into the power brick dealie for about an Hour then turning it back on?

Or how about holding power and home to reset it?

I've tried to reset it. Still nothing. How do I force it into restore mode through the buttons?

If it's not turning on at all, but still recognized by iTunes, I'd say try to click Restore in iTunes. If this doesn't work, but it's still recognized by iTunes and get it into DFU.

Download iLiberty+, click the "More" tab, and then hit "Enter DFU". After it's done, go into iTunes and do another attempt at restore.

I swear, these directions are all I post.

Oh, if it's not recognized by iTunes, just try sitting there connected to power while holding the power button and the home button until something happens.

Restore mode for future reference, = press home button while iPod is off as you are plugging it into power source/computer.

It finally turned on after a couple of hours being connected to my computer. I have no idea why this happened. Thanks for your help!
