Hi all! I have a realy big problem, yesterday I noticed a tiny little scratch on my ipot screen well more like a fracture (don't realy know what its called in english) and when I woke up this morning it appeared to be a big scratch (or fracture) over the whole screeen!

I don't know what to do does the guarantee cover this? Can I change the screen at home?

It's not like i've thrown my ipot in the ground, and apple say that its "unscratchable".

    The touchscreen still works...

Ps Sorry for my bad english...

I think that counts as a factory defect.

Your screen must have had a flaw or something cause I've never seen a screen that bad before, send it back to apple and explain what happened or better yet, go to the apple store if theres one near by I'm sure they'll exchange it.

Since it still works I'd restore it before taking it back if its jailbroken. And good luck hopefully they'll cover it for ya.

yea thats obviously a flaw in the screen if u havnt done ne thing physical to it

and, even though u obviously didnt do that to ur ipod (i cant think of what youd have to do to actually get that scratch)

APPLE DOES NOT MARKET THEIR SCREEN TO BE SCRATCH PROOF, IT IS MERELY SCRATCH RESISTANT, in other words IT CAN BE SCRATCHED it is just much harder than the older ipods to be scratched

so was there originally a scratch when you bought the ipod, and it just enlarged over time? I don't know how something small and tiny can lead to an enormous scar like that overnight. Good luck with apple though
