my ipod touch is sort of bricked.

    when i tap the icon for Music it sends me to my list of songs but i'm not able to scroll or choose a song or sort them. i can start any app, but when the app is started i cant do anything, i cant tap on anything to make it work. also when i lock my ipod, the screen just dims.

    please help

    that is no where near a brick
    but my advise just restore

    no don't do that I no how to fix this.

    SSH into applications and delete the dock.app folder then you should be able to scroll again.

    how do i find the app folder? sorry, noob here. right now im looking at /private/var/mobile

    Yep, that was the right solution. A number of apps cause this. Usually 1.1.1/2 apps run on 1.1.3/4
