My iPod touch 2g got wet

    My 2g touch got wet in the rain and the power button (the one thats on the top) doesnt work as good as it should, it works sometimes if u have it pressed for about 4-5 seconds. so what can i do. note: there is no apple store in my country. please help me out of this

    Turn it off.

    Place it in a bag of rice for a couple hours/days.

    what the hell is a bag of rice a bag full of rice? is it gonna help?

    Yes, rice is very absorbent.

    Or you could use tampons I suppose.

    Sounds retarded, but it is proven to work. It absorbs the water. I recommend leaving it in there a couple days.

    use tampons because rice will scratch your ipod.

    I had water damage to my xbox 360 when my house was flooded. I solved it by taking a blow dryer, putting it on warm (To evaporate the water), and repeating everyday for a week. The xbox works like a charm again. Just make sure you don't overheat your ipod.

    Put it in rice for 3-5 days. As said before it sounds stupid but it works.

    OFF TOPIC: There is no Apple Store in your country!?!? How did you get your iPod?
