Hey guys, I have tried everything I can think of but I can't seem to get my 1G to jailbreak. I did it on a 2G and my iPhone 3gs with no problems. I have the firmware required for the 1G ipod touch and I am using it with red snow, everything gets done and I get the white screen and all that, it reboots, redsnow says its done, but then all I get is a black screen. I don't get that hard disk thing that says installing like I did with my other devices...I have tried this more than 5 times and I get the same thing. Any ideas guys?

    1. I have been connected to the internet the whole time
    2. Restore what? to the original firmware or the one that I patched?
    3. I don't have libUSB installed, atleast I don't think I do since I did a search on my system and didn't find it.

Okay now it just gets stuck on waiting to reboot, I tried everything suggested on google, such as removing and pluging it back in, not doing it over a USb hub. No luck at all. Can anyone please help me?

According to dev team you do not need libUSB for RedSn0w now and it is recommended that you remove it.

    Do a DFU restore.
When iTunes asks if you want to restore your iPod from a backup, close iTunes.
    Run the jailbreak
Open iTunes, select restore from backup, wait for it to restore the settings.
    Done.
