Ok, for some reason, whenever I plug it in, a message pops up that says something about an iPhone and reinstalling iTunes.

    Help!

I had the same problem, try putting the iTunesMobileDevice.dll file back into "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin"

Nope, I'm scared something bad will happen. Mainly because it seems to think my iPod Touch is an iPhone.

Umm, well you kind of need that file in that folder if you want iTunes to recognize your iPod.
