My Ipod Is Locked

    Hi Everyone I Just Got This 16g Ipod Touch. But The Only Thing Is Its Locked. Is There Anyway That I Can Erase Everything And Have It As It Was New?

    serious im not lying i got this of off craigslist, and my 8g itouch was stolen from my car a while back. i know im a newbie but i have no bad intension on other mrmber or this site

    thats more believe able then the other post, i think DFU mode will do it but im not 100% on that one

    It's good though that a restore will only do a higher level wipe and with the help of forensics, the original user's data can easily be recovered.

    he's new though, he might not know what that means.
    hold the power and home button until it turns off. keep holding the two until the apple logo shows up. let go of the power button but keep holding the home button until it shows you the itunes logo, at which point you can plug it in and itunes will tell you that you need to restore it.
