The weirdest thing just happened to my ipod. I was applying a theme, then my ipod froze. So i held down the home and power button to turn it off. when i turned it on again i got the restore mode logo (itunes and usb-cable). So i tough i'll just try to reboot it again. Then when i had held the power button for 5 secs, the poweroff-thing suddenly came on my screen. i was like "Lolwuut"

. My statusbar also appeared. And it was fully themed! My statusbar also had that locked icon like it was on the lock screen. i tried to reboot, and the same thing happened again. I could unlock the ipod to the springboard since there was no "slide to unlock" bar. Just a restore screen with a statusbar. Finally i connected my ipod to my computer and then after a couple of seconds i got the charging symbol on my screen and my ipod was back to normal. i Though. when i unlocked it i got the message that i could customise my home screen by holding down an icon. The message you get when you restore your ipod etc. all my icons where unpoofed and they where randomly placed around the springboard. This is the most crazy thing that's ever happened to my ipod

    Wow, that is weird...

Maybe something happened where the iPod touch thought it was in Restore mode?

have you tried holding down the power button and the home button and when the screen goes black keep the power button pressed so your kind of putting it into restore mode again then trying to connect it to itunes?
