I recently got an iPod and the battery never lasts long at all. I removed the jailbreak to see if it was affecting the battery life and I've seen no changes. For example, yesterday I charged itt to 100% and within 1 or 2 hours the battery was at about 40%. When I first connected the iPod to my PC i don't think I let it charge completley; could this be the problem? I cant use my iPod as often as I'd like to because of the poor battery life. Please help :c

If it is really bad, bring it to the Apple Store, assuming you still have your warranty.
As long as they don't notice that you dropped it, opened it, or something, they should give you a new battery - or a new iPod!

    Try conditioning it?

Let it die completely then charge it for a full 24 hours.

Well I am facing a similar problem of late

I removed the jailbreak but still the problem persists. If i game for 10 minutes (PapiJump or similar kind) the battery reduces to 70% from 100%. How about you guys? How much batter life you guys are getting? Also my brightness is set to 0. If it continues I will have to get the battery replaced

You might as well as get it replaced now if you still can, there's no point waiting for it. :S.
