i just updated the SBbrightness buttons tweak to the latest version, and when i did a respring for the update to take effect, its going through a freeze, restart cycle, it gives me about 2 seconds to either unlock the phone. theres not enough time for me to slide for sbsettings and enter safe mode -.- I've tried numerous times to enter safe mode but there isn't enough time and theres no point in unlocking the phone -.-

    Removing SBBrightness without terminal

I had the same problem on my iPhone4. I downloaded i-Funbox and used it to access the raw filesystem:

I renamed the two files SBBrightness with a new .bak extension (I didn't want to just delete them in case I needed to recover them later).

When the phone tried rebooting, I was able to get in restarted properly, but without SBBrightness running. I went to Cydia and removed the tweak, and then deleted the two SBBrightness files I had renamed.
