I Have used my ihome alarm clock/dock to charge my old 3G nano, a 80 Gig classic and a few other models. When I plug the touch in it (just got the touch today) It says "this device won't allow it to charge" or something similar to that. Why is that?

What sucks is I just paid 79 for this dock last year and the one you showed me is 100 bucks. I can't justify paying that. Maybe I can find a simple charge dock so when my pc is off

I have this iHome http://www.ihomeaudio.com/iP9 I love it. Charges no problems my Touch 2g. However I know you don't really want to spend another hundred dollars, so what about selling the one you have on ebay...and using that money to put towards a new iHome.

It's annoying that the dock connector is somehow angled on the 2G. I don't think any other iPod/iPhone has that angled dock connector. It's annoying when you want to plug in it without looking at it.

Nothing to do with angles, the older iPod models charge via FireWire (12V) the 4G Nano, 120GB Classic, and 2G Touch now charge via USB (5V) therefore any old docks (including this iHome) won't charge it if it is trying to charge the iPod via FireWire.

Does that with my friends 2g too. Just doesn't work with that model.
