    It's not that I don't want criticism... He just could have used other words than "cheap looking" and "half assed". That's all I'm asking for. And my work here sure is drafts of works that will go in my portfolio. Drafts.

    You can't expect everyone to sugarcoat it. He by no means said to just give up graphic design all together. Constructive criticism can be found in many different forms.

    Still imo, the first few of your works were amazing, think about the time and detail you put into those and compare it to the stuff you do now.

    A sky rendering from scratch

    A thin drape over the earth representing the ozone layer from scratch

    Can you tell me what textures and/or brushes you used for the "At Least We Survived" picture? That one looks really awesome.

    It's just a two-sided gradient and some blending mode. I think it was reflect or overlay... I can't remember because it's so old!

    Lol, I like the first one better actually. Try removing the faded edges on the 2nd one and replace it with a dark grey gradient, kind of like the color of the Apple.
