My friends ipod touch 2nd gen wont boot, or go into dfu mode

    My friend can not...
    - Use a computer
    - Turn on his ipod
    - Go into dfu mode
    - Charge in a wall

    My Friend Did
    - Redsn0w apparently said jailbreaking in progress, and then he restarted when told to do so, the ipod wouldn't turn on, and then he restarted his computer and got the blue screen

    My friend has tried
    - All Modes
    - Booter and 1 Click boot

    Please help me help him, lol

    Sorry that I have no help, but same thing happened to me with my 1g iPod Touch. Jailbroke with Redsn0w and now it wont even turn on no matter WHAT I do.

    wow if it wont turn on thats not a good sign, im sure someone will know how to fix this though, good luck

    try holding the power + home button for a couple of seconds to see if it restarts. if yes and god loves you then you could try restoring to 2.2.1 firmware and use the method below;

    make sure all instances of itunes related is closed.
    Connect ipod touch to computer.
    Put to DFU Mode and open up itunes ( it should say ipod is in recovery )
    do a shift+restore to firmware of choice, (i did this from 2.1.1 to 2.2.1)
    wait until ipod touch turns to white or black doesn't matter ( Preparing to Restore )
    then CTRL+Alt+Delete (open up task manager)
    Close off Itunes.exe and IpodService.exe (itunes should close while ipod is still in recovery)
    Quickly Switch USB Port of Ipod Touch to other port.
    Open up itunes ( it should say ipod is in recovery )
    then now do a Shift+Restore again and it should work.

    then try to re-do the jailbreak carefully.

    DFU seems to be the only thing that i can think of but iono. That sucks
