My friend wants to try something out since he doesn't use his jailbroken ipod that much he wants to use either ifile or SSH and delete all the core/system files from his ipod and see what happens.
What I want to know is, what will happen?

    Either

    1. SWoD
    2. Endless reboot
    3. Will stick at Apple logo when booting

Either way obviously just DFU + Restore

Oh yeah and you might send out bot attacks to NASA's servers. >..>

    It'll implode.
No, really it just won't boot and he will have to restore it.

I've done this before (but on 2.x firmware) it'll hang on reboot
nothing more - DFU and it's back up again

They're the same in a sense that he must DFU+Restore to fix it. But they are different. SWoD obviously has a spinning wheel, endless reboot just keep turning on and off, stuck on Apple logo, well, it's self explanatory.

u can have fun and brick it by restoring it with the iphone os.... i beleive this will totally brick it and a DFU + restore wont fix it... this is how i got a new ipot from apple when i had an annoying scratch... ;D

WARNING: This will probably render the ipot totally useless with no means of fixing.
