What should my first app be.
I'm a very good coder so give me a bit of a challenge.
an app that can change the name of any of your installed apps. for example, Finder's icon title is Finder, but using this app, you could make it My Computer...I know how to do this through ssh and editing the info.plist of the app, but I would love an app that could do it on th go.
make an app that lets you change what it says where the clock is on the lock screen
can you do via ssh?
MINI GOLF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please.
i heard someone was making a bop it type game but i dont think he finished so it would be cool if you can make it
Blarf. Jiggy, I assume? Learn Objective-C please.
you think you can make a mms app for the iPod touch? That would be awesome.
This would be a great starter app for a decent coder. On first run/rescans, the app would scan through the /Applications directory gathering apps' bundleidentifiers through their Info.plists. Then store that information an a plist file for your app, along with the directory name: ie MobileMusicPlayer. The app would then take that data and merge it with /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/LocalizedApplicationNames.strings, while taking care to over write the app names you've gathered with the data collected from the localized app name plist, to preserve apps that already have "Special names."
Then, just let the user select an app from an app list, add their own name, amend your app's plist, then amend the localized app name plist.
Should be cake enough.
Actually, it can be, so long as the user has Erica's Utilities (or possibly, Erica's Ported Utilities) installed with the plutil command.
there is one, i think i saw under multimedia in installer. otherwise why not email
