After letting the fact that some ipod owners are getting the app pack for free build up, i decided to let apple know how i felt. After calmly ranting to the support team I heard some somewhat good news. I was told that if enough iPod users fill out a form on the apple site expressing their. Complaint, then they might do something like they did for the iphone. Which means essentialy the app pack would be free. So i encourage everyone to go to the apple support site and fill out a complaint form.

so... if a ton of us complain, they might release them for free? That's awesome!
I'm going to write to the UK support site now!
Hopefully those who already bought them will get a refund or something....

I let them know how happy I was, and how I hope to be able to continue sending them $20 every few months. Yeah, that's what I said - lol.

I didn't complain because they charged for it. I complained that some users are getting them for free and I'm not.

    +1 - that's actually what I said.

I also pointed out that Apple won't get any revenue from me at all due to that choice. In other words, they lost at least 1 potential customer. This touch was the first Apple product in my home since the first PowerPC Macs (that's when I gave up paying the Apple Surcharge - I'm thinking that was 1995ish)

Yeah, that's one hell of an expensive $20. Well done!

That's what I said aswell. I complained how all iTouch customers should get free apps, and not just those who recently bought there's especially since loads of people bought there's a few days before xmas which is just a week before the date you qualify for free apps.
