Try this: Hit the reset button on the Peel then try to updated the software from inside the app. If that doesn't work try the reset again but without the iPod in the case, then put the iPod back in the Peel and try to update.
The power button wont start the peel and there are no indications in the touch. Any solutions? This is the main issue that I am having. Even when i turn on the CPeel, there are absolutely no indications of power on. I know the C Peel is on because it makes the ringing sound, but my ipod won't read the connection.
I've the same problem...I'm on iOS 5.0.1 ...not sure if that is the problem. Does anybody has any solution for this issue

i got the 288 too. i can update buttttt i dont think its really updating because the option to update is always there. My Issue however it stays in emergency mode and i cannot make calls edit: update button now gone fully updated still says invalid sim. Sim is legit verizon from the jest 2 unlocked
Bought T288 today for my sister in law. Everything is downloaded but only getting emergency calls only. When I try to ring it its as if its off. Sim card is quite old. Does anybody know if I need to get a special sim card?? She is going to oz tomorrow so need to fix it asap. Thnak you.
Kickers For updating to occupy press the off button for 3 seconds you will leave the floor and holding once you release the button then appears and is updated
