Hey all, first time complaining about this product because I just got it today, lolz. Problem: I just got my T288 today and ive been anticipating on this for a while because i always wanted to make my ipod 4g into an iphone. However, when I put my ipod into the case. The T288 wouldn't actually connect with my ipod (It connects physically, but it doesn't show the no service bars or even the battery. Ive also tried listening to music through my home Idock and trying to connect it through Itunes via USB --> computer) I have a working activated SIM card and i dont think thats the problem, because I have gotten it to read Emergency once. Should i send back to the the company and get another one? or can anyone give me any suggestions on how to get the T288 to work? I'm disappointed.... I do have the T288 applications installed and I followed the installation instructions (Ie: calling,SMS,Radio, and GPRS. If anyone could provide any information that is useful towards this problem that would be greatful
Most peels require users to register the device's IMEI with the app and their servers (before you can even use the device). You might want to see if your peel requires such processes.
Of course you tried to turn it on holding the power button on the right side of the peel once you've inserted the ipod into it, haven't you?
Also you need the packages from Cydia to use it (peels require external apps, they don't come bundled with the product and SMS and Phone apps are not present on iOS for the iPod touch )
Lolz, yes I did turn it on . However, I learned today that there are different sizes of SIM cards out there and the one that I am using perhaps is to small. Also, I have all the cydia packages that coming put on it (http://coming.hk/cydia/). What is IMEM??? In the attachments is a screen shot from my Ipod. I have all the apps needed to be able to run the T288
IMEI is the device identification # (like a serial #). Most peels requires you to link both the IMEM # with the iPod's serial #.
maybe he didn't understand because it's not IMEM but IMEI... it's a number that identify your iPod world wide... but in this case C peel t288 apps don't make an IMEI activation...they run even if you don't have the Peel... so maybe he just forgot to turn it on using the power button on the right side!! PS Sorry for the out-thread, but did anyone notice any slowdown in terms of speed and responsiveness when you started using the Peel? Sincerly I did and I don't know how to figure it out...it's always out of RAM!!
