    hey My Best friend brother found an Iphone 3GS or 3G we do not know it is black 16GIG and they took the sim out because they kept ringing is problem is they kept putting in codes but now Iphone got Disabled and is asking to put it into the the Itunes just would it be trace able? could the IEM number be locked? can I just do a full Restore? or sell the hanset??

    That'd be theft in some states. The finder must give it 30-60 days for the owner to claim until they finder could keep it. If it was ringing why don't you answer and give it back? How would you feel if someone found your iPhone?

    Why would you sell it or restore? It is not yours. Turn it into the police, or at least apple store.

    yeah that iphone is traceable so if you found it it would be smart to either return it or get rid of it. That will cause more problems than its worth

    It's not tracable unless they have mobileme. Any other way would be to have a court order the phone carrier to track it through GPS.

    I highly doubt the owneer would do that haha Plus its got no sim If its restore you cant trace it

    then you got to hire a loyer lol waste of time you lose to much money. How can you trace It with Mobile Me I want to put My iphone on it
