    What to do?

Okay, I have a 4.0 jailbroken iPod Touch 2G 8GB. It is the slowest iDevice ever. However, I'm going to get the iPod Touch 4 at christmas... Which I am no way going to jailbreak.

I don't have gamecenter, and I really want it.. So what should I do? Numorous bugs are on my iPod.

Also, as I am on 4.0 jailbroken, what would I do if I wanted to go by jailbreaking to 4.1? Just update? Won't that damage my iPod?

I was kind of hoping to keep a jailbroken iPod, but I want Game Center bad, and it's slowly annoying as hell.

    What would ya'll do?

If you care most about the jailbreak, don't update. If you care most about 4.1, update. Simple enough?

I really can't decide, because my iPod Touch 4 will come with 4.1...

And yes, i dont plan on jailbreaking 4.1 until a stable one comes out.

If you're only wondering if you should update your 2G to 4.1, I would just like to point out that

    Jailbreak > Game Center

If I was you I would just update to 4.1. I did earlier today and when a jailbreak is released I will use it. Hope this helps!

Isn't there a way to install GameCenter on 4.0 via SSH. Let me look....

try to back up your blobs if you can (you might not be able to now though) then RESTORE up to 4.1.
