My battery was completely dead and......

    i plugged my ipod in and it is in recovery mode and said that i have to restore.
    what should i do??

    Because it is in recovery. You are supposed to if it does that.

    Try downloading RedTool, and using the "Boot out of Recovery Mode" button. :|
