iOS 4.0 my battery drains so quickly after the jailbreakme

    i have the multitask and wallpaper enabled but i deleted the overlays for the wallpaper. i dont have winterboard installed and the battery is draining 20% after watching 3 youtube videos

    Look at his info, he has an iPod touch 2G. Apple disabled multitasking and wallpapers for a reason on the 2nd gen iPod touches. It's slow and drains battery life. I recommend disabling it. Also, Youtube is always hard on the battery regardless if you're jailbroken or not.

    Yeah youtube does that.


    I never really watch youtube on my iPod though.

    Correct, but 2nd gen iPod touches regardless of how old they are (max up to 2 years) don't have good battery life on iOS 4, but at the same time lots of usage throughout two years might cause the battery to drain faster.

    I don't have battery problems on mine (MC model).

    Oh i know im jsut saying you can buy em new i thought he might have and older one and an older ipod plus ios4 = death

    Brightness, WiFi and bluetooth all effect how fast or slow your battery drains. Enabling Wallpapers and multitasking, watching youtube videos, using WiFi, with a high brightness is just a problem.

    I suggest only turning on stuff you need, maybe only using half the brightness, turning off bluetooth when you don't need it.
