I've bought the new iPod Touch 3g and purchased update 3.1.2
But none of the applications I've downloaded work...
They open and then they pop back to my homescreen,
    what can I do?

    I've already done:

Deleted them en downloaded them again
Erased all my files (Music, video's apps)
pressed Homescreen button/sleep, awake button for 10 secconds.

    What can I do?

Why did you need to update to 3.1.2?
It comes with it on all 3g iPods...
And you might want to restore..
    Are any errors coming up?

Not always, mine came with 3.1.2
Also, you wouldn't need to purchase it, as you already have 3.x.x
Just try a normal restore first

    Fixed my apps problem!

I had the same problem. I just fixed it, and here's how. On your home screen, go to Settings, and then to General and then to Reset, then click "Erase all Content and Settings." It will verify if you're sure, tell it yes, and then do it (make sure you have everything saved on your itunes on your computer!!!!). Then, plug your itouch into your computer, and when it connects, hit Restore, and then HERE'S THE KEY - when it asks if you want to backup or install a new ipod, tell it to install a new one! Now when you get the next screen that asks if you want to sync automatically, make sure you are scrolled down all the way and the box for Automatically Sync Applications is checked! That's it, that should do it! I hope that helps! For whatever reason, this is what I did and it worked, even though my itouch was only one day old when I had to do this!

    Most 3G's (not 3GS) come with 3.1.2.

Mine came with 3.1.1... and it was brand new..... also my damn itunes had an error as soon as it downloaded the update <.< damn thing... so I had to download it externally

I had that same trouble that the apps won't open... thanks to Lescudero..... actually I found out that only with reseting content and settings will do... but yeah you need to save your stuff 1ยบ
