iOS 4.0 My 5 year old brother changed my iPod passcode, and I want to reset the passcode

    Yeah... but deleting the keycahins-2.db file in /var/Keychains/ doesn't work. they keychains db file just reappears after like 3 seconds.

    And he set it to an alpha-numeric passcode.

    And even after i delete the db file, it still asks for the passcode at bootup.

    Restore is the only choice you got..I think.

    But then it will restore to 4.0.2 and I can't jailbreak. Is there a way to make it restore to 4.0?

    No don't. What did he use to create the password? Was it a JB app or not? If it is a JB app you can go into Safe Mode to get back into your device. If not, SSH and delete the program using the password.

    No he just used the normal Settings app, he went into General, and then Passcode lock.

    or if you have to restore you could just download the 4.0 update

    Oh I just deleted the whole Keychains folder and it still won't work.

    I guess the longer alphanumeric passcodes are saved somewhere else.
