Ok, lately the music player on my 3G Touch has been acting weird. It's refused to play music a few times, and the volume is buggy now and then - it will adjust, but the slider will stutter and bounce back to its original position.

I'm still on completely unmodified 3.1.1 firmware. Will the 3.1.2 firmware fix this, or should I return the Touch and get another?

I think it my be the firmware. I would update, unless for some reason you don't want to, and see if it fixes it. If not then yeah return to Apple!

my vote goes to firmware. i dont think anything's wrong with the device, but this is a good excuse to get it replaced if you've scratched it or something

I got the same thing with my volume sometimes. Sometimes it just shakes, sometimes it goes back to same place.

Firmware. Please search, I made a thread about this and other problems about 2 weeks ago. It is firmware, though, we figured that out.

I did, and nothing came up. Same with the "similar threads" option when I first typed in the title.

Believe me - if I didn't search before I posted, I'd have 1300+ posts racked up as well.

Is there any word on if the 3.1.2 firmware fixes the bug?
