Yes, yes it does. All of a sudden it happened. I turn it on....and steadily it becomes louder and louder.....until I swear I have a Jet in my room. Now, theres no dust, not really. Its clean enough.

New fan maybe? But I dont see how that would help because the old fan looks fine, sounds more like something more 'technical' with the mobo. Any ideas?

Urmmm, at the moment, case is off and in the middle of my room and its making the sound still. And also, I had the problem a couple of days ago, left it off until today and its the same so it would of been cooler. But that was my first thought.

Try replacing the stuff that sits between the CPU/GPU and the fans.

You know, the silver gel stuff?

look for a small plug that would connect the fans to the rest of the board. check to see if its not plugged in. if its not plugged in the fans will spin as fast as motors will allow b4 breaking. that plug records temps of cpu so it knows how fast to spin

The thermal paste? I think I'll have a look, ive got some spare but I think I put some on recently.

Yeah I thought this also, but its deffinatly connected. Ive bough a replacement 360 fan off ebay so I'll give that a go and crack some thermal paste on cpu/gpu until then.

    I will do that thanks.
