I was updating to 2.2.1 but I wanted to keep all of my videos so I removed them from my ipod using winscp and going to var/mobile/media/MxTube. After I updated I put the videos into that folder but they are not appearing in MxTube. Any help?

I think there might be a database file somewhere, a file that says what videos MxTube has downloaded, that MxTube looks at for the listings... It's a guess.

There is indeed. But now that you've updated, that file is gone, so it's not reading your videos. Looks like you're out of luck.

Yea, there is a database file that lists your video library information. But since you restored, it was erased.

For future reference, if you need to restore again, just go to var/mobile/Library/MxTube and backup the VideoLibrary.plist file along with your videos and thumbnails. That way, when you put everything back where they belong, they will work fine.

Okay, I'll remember this the next time I'm updating my iPod.

I was going to say you could just back up the whole directory. Its what i did before i went to un-tethered jailbreak from tethered. I backed up the whole applications and theme folders on the iPod so i could them back on afterwards...

Turned out it wasn't necessary. IT didnt delete anything
