Hey guys, new thread focused on the newest Muzik - v.3.7.5, located inside the App Promotion forum. Just thought you'd like to know. :)

Does this do lyrics at all? I don't see an option. Could you add it? And even better if it doesn't have any have it pull from a site.

Can't you see theres a new thread? Anyway, no it does not do lyrics, that's Apple's fault.

Really, really disappointed this app has to be bought again.

I realize that there is a new thread, but it really doesn't matter. I liked this app for style, but regardless of how inexpensive these apps are, I'm not really happy with the end result of this transaction. Yes, I realize that it's partly on Apple that we couldn't transfer licenses. I'm guessing something happened that Coco can't publish it through whatever company he used for 3.0?

EDIT: A sentence was removed that was based on incomplete information.

EDIT 2: You know what? I may be upset that I lost my updates for this app due to these circumstances, but I'm ultimately sorry for causing a scene. This whole situation is regrettable for me, simply for the sake that Coco is a cool indie app developer who's willing to interact with a community. I'm removing much of my original post because it keeps gnawing at me how this all turned out.

Yes, I'm frustrated, but in the end it's a minor inconvenience for a good App. Coco, I'm not apologizing because I want you to give me a second shot at a redemption code. I'm apologizing because you've been a cool dev on here this whole time, and I just stomped all over your thread in my frustrated anger.

The original was free with ads I recall unless there was an no ads version.

App publishers shouldn't be switched now because before, Ben was using an account not in his name as he was under 18 I believe. Then had to make his own when it expired as he could not renew it.

    I apologize for any inconvenience.

First of all. When Muzik was first created, I was a Solo developer. The app was then free, and ad supported - therefore people complained about the ads. My friend and I, a fellow user on here, decided to create a partnership where we would collaborate on certain projects and release several titles over a couple of years. We uploaded our existing projects to that team, and I updated Muzik and made it Paid. The partnership fizzled prior to my releasing Muzik 3.6.0 onto the App Store, as we had to go our separate ways due to University and other life-pathways, so I had to renew my own Solo account in order to publish Muzik.

That version, as I said was 3.6.0. I ran a promotion for about 2 months that enabled users to send their Muzik receipts to me via E-Mail, and receive a Promo Code back to appease angry customers. I knew people wouldn't like having to pay 0.99c again. I contacted Apple several times before releasing version 3.6.0 and their reply was something like: "We can't give you the list of people because of Privacy Act violations/concerns." They couldn't even transfer the user-base across accounts.

Fair enough, I say. The situation was unavoidable. Since I'm once again Solo (and will remain so), why should you assume that - for the sake of soaping customers for more "dimes" as you so wisely (not) call them - I would switch app publishers again? I think you need to do more research before you make an argument, mate. It's not how the App Store works.

Also, the "original" Paid version was indeed 3.0. Muzik has been around, as myself and DevourOfDarkness have said, since version 2.4 and that version was Ad Supported.

I wish this could've been amicable, as these types of cases have been in the past. Despite the promotion being over for a reasonable length of time, I was still giving away Promo Codes to those rare few who contacted me with their receipt afterward. Since you decided to make unfounded accusations on myself and place a negative image on my app's history and my app itself, I won't be divulging a promo code this time.

Thank-you for purchasing Muzik in the past.

    cocotutch.

Despite my frustrations on the matter, I would like to apologize for my more rash accusations, while I tend to look deeply into a matter before making posts such as these (for example, I actually did read the latter half of this post, as well as the new post, to find out why this new version existed), yet I was not around to have downloaded the first muzik to know about the ad supported nature.

Basically, it's unfortunate that I had assumed incorrectly, mostly because I'm somewhat sure THIS thread makes mention of the old version being free (but I have not read pages 1-13 in a few months).

I'll edit my post to avoid any potential confusion for those reading this thread.

    EDIT:
Not sure I understand this part exactly. Either the "not" is being used as sarcasm, which implies that I unwisely refer to money spent as dimes, or it wasn't sarcasm and just reads oddly to me.

I find the app crashing often on my iPod Touch 4G. Music still plays because it's through the native music api but I have to relaunch Muzik quite often.
