so all my music on my ipod sound wrong , it sounds like some one in the recording studio played with the volume knobs for each instrument.

most of the time the guitar is very loud ,drums go from loud to soft ,and voice is soo quiet you need to think to actually hear the guy/girl

the music works in itunes , i have restored my ipod ,it is not jail broken I always have a problem with my i[od every time apple comes out with something new

First gen. Odd, there really weren't that many problems. Are you sure you don't have an EQ preset on?

Yes thats the trail right there, just set it to off and see if it was on. Sometimes it can cause undesirable listening. I like to here it the way its meant to be so I just buy uber expensive headphones and set it to off.

I found the problem , it was my head phones , I think I broke them when I had them 2 meters away from a de-guassing monitor at school =[
