    Hey everyone,

After getting my touch 2g, I realised that I can't play music on my 360 like I used to with my nano....Anyway, I was just wondering, now that the jailbreak is out, if there is a way to go around that (with an app or something)?

No, it would involve hacking the Xbox, not the iPod. Apple and Microsoft products just don't mix...period.

They do mix, there is an optional update on XBL that allows music from most iPods to be played in the Xbox music player. I don't know why the iPod touch doesn't work with this, maybe as its more of a computer than a simple music player the interface is too complicated?

I heard that still didn't work, I may be wrong though.

I can confirm that the Xbox Optional Media update is not compatible with the iPod touch 2G. With some clever iPod hack however, I guess you could simulate a Nano through the USB port and use it with an Xbox.

The other iPods, like the nano, can be optionally used as a flash drive, by setting that option in iTunes.

The iPod touch cannot use this option, and the Xbox 360 can only read iPods like a flash drive, which the iPod touch does not do.
