For a while now I've wanted to create some of my own music tracks, nothing big but you know just experimenting, but I've never been able to find the right program to use. I've tried fruitloops I think it's called but I didn't like it, was way to complicated. I did however find this site which is for online mixing
    http://www.splicemusic.com/makemusic/sequencer/
Which looks quite good but I want something to install to my computer like that with already bult-in tracks/samples to play with and re arrange etc..

Does anyone have any names of programs which you can do this with? or something simular?

    Thanks
    Matt

Unfortunately, if you're going down this path, most programs you use are going to be complicated ... prepare for the steep learning curve ... good luck!

I use Adobe Audition. Pretty straightforward. Arm a track to record, and hit record. Then double click on it to ad FX. The nice thing is that if you want it to get more complicated it can!
