    Hey guys,
I'm a new touch owner and I'm trying to keep itunes from organizing my songs into separate folders by whatever album the song came off of. I guess itunes is reading the id3 tags to do that? Is there a way I can keep itunes from reading the tags or can I change the tags of all a particular artist to the same tag so itunes puts all the songs of that artist in the same folder or at least let me arrange things the way "I" want?

For example: I have a 70s greatest hits file with hundreds of songs in it. When I add songs I want from it to the itunes library, itunes organizes the songs by whatever album the id3 tag says it originally came from. I may have 50 folders, each with 1 song in it. That's rediculous.

In the itunes preferences I have the "let itunes manage folders" unticked.

    Thanks for any help.

Go to google, and look for ID3 tag editor and look for mp3tag(dot)de/en

    It's what I use. It's free, virus/spyware/adware/malware free and it's advanced (but easy) =]

If it helped, please +1 rep =]
