So still no custom EQ, still no support for .ogg or FLAC, still no FM radio.

No innovations to music playback experience, like "recently played" on the new Archos devices or the wicked artist bio/pics/related artists interactive deal on the Zune HD, or it's 'music dock' or 'clipboard' or w/e...

I just don't quite understand why Apple wouldn't add this stuff in... I mean, I know it's being marketed as an up-and-coming gaming platform but it's still an mp3 player isn't it? I feel like the actual music part of the device has been neglected in facour of the bells and whistles.

I've always been more interested in a complete music experience than anything, but the iPod touch fulfills my other needs (like high capacity and battery life) better than any of the other, "fancier" (in terms of playback) devices. I dunno.. any opinions? You guys seen anything interesting other manufacturers are bringing to the table?

There is an EQ. Look in the Settings app.
