    Hello,
Today when I plugged in my iPod, all the music was gone as far as the iPod was concerned, and was classified as "other" in iTunes. It also happened to my friend's iPod, I think because I unpluged his at a bad time then plugged mine in immediately after. Does anybody know how I can fix this without restoring and rejailbreaking? P.S. Everything else works, I can even add songs, which show up, but not the old ones.
    Any ideas appreciated!

awesome! What did you delete, all the files in the music folder? (like F1, F2, etc?)

yup... all the F00, F01, etc... directories. Im not sure why it did it either but that was the quickest fix for me.

Just delete /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control. That will make iTunes think you wiped everything, and will put everything back on, not just update the iPod like if the IC-info.sidv and other sync remarks were still on there.

You could also go to settings and reset and delete
