hello, i just installed 4.0 and unlocked the multitasking in the jailbreaknig process.
when i double clock the home buttons when i am in an app nothing happens.
only if i am in the home menu an empy task manager pops up(useless of course)

Only few apps support the multitasking feature so multitasking will only work on apps that support it.

It's supposed to do that, like jphone said, it only supports certain apps.

Not all apps are supported for multitasking. Developers need to update their apps to be compatible fr multitasking. Also, I don't think saurik updated winterboard for multitasking, did he? Or do the people who make the styles have to update them?

i too noticed this, - now when i double click the home button, its always blank and only comes up from the home screen.

however a few hours ago, it would show apps that i had previously opened both native and jailbroken apps. i've done a lot of things before i noticed this, so i dont know what happened,
hopefully someone will figure it out, because i finally got everything downloaded and set up the way i like it again

something is wrong because even if you have nothing 'backrounded' you should still be able to get the music controls when you double tap the home button. -but now i (we) dont

    Same problem.
It was working before I added sources on cydia. All I've installed is a lick screen and winterboard.
The music player doesn't show up when I double click the home button either.

Guys the problem is winterboard. Disable it from the mobile substrate addons in sbsettings and respring. It worked for me.
