My father has an ipod 2gen 8gb and wants to multitask on it, now I read it was possible if you jailbreak it, but is it already possible to jailbreak ios 4 because I have now installed it. but when I installed it I remarked couldn't even change the menu background and a lot of other things are not available, and that's not because of the processor but just because apple wants to make money, sometimes I hate apple!!!!!

You need to jailbreak with redsn0w (or pwnage tool if you are a Mac owner). This will allow you to unlock the multtasking and springboard bacground options.

Is it worth it to do that? Sometimes I have to wonder if I should. I get the urge to, but then the urge is curbed by the fact that jailbreaking is dangerous.

jailbreaking is not dangerous unless u r stupid enough to delete all the root files.

In redsn0w just check the options you want, and if you don't want to jailbreak, don't check "Install Cydia"

WAIT! Before you re-jailbreak go into Cydia and look for a tool called z-Toggle. Download it and open it. Then just go from there!
