Hey... Both me and my friend have ipod touches. I was wondering if there was any games we could play using the wi-fi but without an actual network. Like just connecting one to the other. Were willing to pay for it and both of them are jailbroken so any jailbroken apps we may need we can get

Hmmm, i'm not so sure about jailbroken apps but one such game I recommend is UNO... That game has WiFi multiplayer mode and should be interesting for both you and ur buddy to relive those days of playing the popular UNO cards!

I think he wants a one-to-one connection, like play with a friend a school without a wi-fi connection.

Currently, there is no way to set up an ad-hoc connection between two iPod/iPhones.

There is a peer-to-peer type of feature coming out in 3.0, but still uses a network.
