For those who don't know, MultiClutch is a program that lets you assign custom Multi-Touch gestures to apps in OS X. Does anyone here know if it will work on one of the previous-gen white MacBooks? All the descriptions I've seen say that it only works on a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air, but since the white MacBooks also have Multi-Touch I was wondering if this program would work on one.

    Sorry but nope.

You have to have the hardware to actually recognize the multi touch commands, I have an early 2008 MBP and I can assign gestures, (and recently got the new 4 finger gestures) but I can do all this becasue I have the trackpad that can recognize the multi touching.

Sorry the older white, and black MacBooks do not have this trackpad.

The only multi touch they have is the 2 finger scrolling.

+1. It's the same with the 1st gen MacBook Air. That only has the hardware to allow it for 3 fingers, and can't do 4 fingers.
