MS Outlook

    Hi there, I am wondering if anyone knows if MS outlook can be installed on Ipod Touch? I mainly need it for contacts and appointments...

    Outlook could only be created by Microsoft. And I doubt they'll spend any time that for this platform.

    A 3rd party email/calendar/contact client with exchange support would be great though.

    Well I know that you can get word, excel and powerpoint to work on touch. I also know that there is a mac compatable version of office... was hoping..

    nope, cant do it, although i wish the email client for the iphone was capable of full exchange server sync.

    The only thing that comes close, albeit, not for the iPod is "The Missing Sync". I'm sure in time, with enough use of the upcoming SDK, someone will make a port of it.

    How did you get Word Excel and Powerpoint on the iPod Touch? I would really like to have these on mine. I didn't think that was possible. If you could explain, or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

    I know for certain you can sync your outlook contacts with the touch because mine are. I'm fairly certain you can sync your calender as well. There is an option to sync contacts with Outlook in ITunes when you have your touch connected. It is under the last tab when you have your touch selected. You can even associate pictures with your contacts.

    I believe he meant "viewing" those formats, and that is very much possible, at least in Mail.
