i am having the same problem...Once i convert to mp4 they play fine with quicktime but then when i sync to my ipod it goes on the ipod but says "the movie format is not supported" and I can not even play the movie in quicktime, it's pretty much corrupt i guess.

    Fix - hopefully

    Hi,

This started happening to me months ago, after a software upgrade. I eventually found a solution (can't remember where, it might have been this forum), which is to ensure that deinterlacing is enabled when converting the file.

I use Nero Recode and this option can be found once a file has been loaded. Click setting on the video tab, and then click Custon Deinterlace and Enable Deinterlacing.

I don't use any other software for recoding files but I'm sure there will be similar options.

    Good luck

    Tisi
