Get a DVD decrypter and a video converter.
Rip the video files out using the DVD decrypted and convert them to MP4 using any video converter.
NOTE: Ripping TV shows is much harder than movies.
BTW: I love Heroes, i have season 1, gonna buy season 2 soon.

NO, get DVD decrypter, it's freeware.
Then get any free video converter.
But make sure the videos are in MP4 format

Hey, ive done the same for a few movies. To rip the dvd's i use the magic dvd ripper program. Its a trial version with like 5 uses or something, i figure ill just get a different one when the time comes. and once i download those i use the freez ipod video converter to convert the movie files into itunes compatable files. hope this helps

To rip DVD's I use Handbrake, but either the latest version or the Windows version (no idea which, but I am not updating it on my hackintosh just in case) will not rip copy-protected DVDs. LAME!

for ripping the dvds I use DVDFab decrypter (it is free, just use the trial)
then it rips off the VOB files...unfortunately into parts (i think if you buy the real version there is an option to not split it into parts
and then to convert the VOB files into MP4 files (for the ipod) I use videora

both programs are free and pretty nice.

when you rip the dvd, make sure that you dont put subtitles and that it is in the right language..of course unless you want subtitles

because when i first ripped off a dvd i did it in spanish haha that was a frustrating surprise because it takes quite a while to convert large files

I use DVD Decryptor and Videora. If your new to the converting process Videora walks you right through and for the advanced people it has advanced mode.

It also features settings to convert to an Ipod Touch 2g or 1g. Both programs are free. I'm using them now.
