Hey. I have some friends who would like me to jailbreak their iPod Touch. My question is, can I just backup the files from my iPod Touch, and then copy them to theirs? Like the applications and themes?

Well... I believe copying your applications and themes on their iPod would work ok, there should be no problem there... but why not download 'em on their installer instead?...

I find it quicker to just do a mass copy via sftp, and just let it run itsself, rather than having to download each one seperately

    Do you mean copying everything?

I don't know, it just looks a little suicidal to me. First you have to make sure the directory structure is the same, if you symlinked the Applications elsewhere for example, what will happen exactly during your sFTP session?

Then you'll be overwriting programs and temporary files while some processes are running. It could be OK if you're lucky, but that's not something I'd do.
