    As a new owner I was wondering if I can I copy DVDs I already own to the IPod?

    Handbrake is cross-platform, therefore it works on Mac, Windows and Linux.

    Should have said also a bit of a technophobe, brand new to this game, no idea what a handbrake is. I have a PC can I use it?

    Handbrake [link] is a program to convert DVDs/videos to other formats. There's an button on the top right called 'Toggle Presets' press that, then choose 'iPhone and iPod Touch'.

    Shoild I down load -GUI: Graphical User Interface or CLI: Command Line Interface?

    Download GUI, command line would be much harder to use.
